Glass Jewels

A poem about illusions.

Stories chase
stories

And jagged
murmurs

All those things
that spill
Weightless

to tumble
Head over heels
over the cracks

Seeking

glass that only stains
like jewels

Forgotten misgivings

and other trinkets
from all the days
Half-imagined
in waning

How wonderful must it be
To run without ever falling
