A Poem: Part I of ‘The Roaming Set’

By Oleg Magni via Pexels

the opportune quiet
is in the details

a tuft of feather
on citrine stretch

bread crumbs
that dust a lacquered surface

shoes toeing the sidewalk lines

made respectable
residual
by the morning expectations

where tasks
are still reducible

to a warm muffin
in a paper bag

how routine
is no more

than two sugars
in a latte
