so close
captivatingly close

syllabic entanglement
begging cohesion
to make sense

dragging
with the surety
of a hard “T”

decked out
in Times New Roman

serif corners
poking

itching to be
pronounced

as if sitting here
being stared at

by the foggy eyelids
of a cold window

will somehow

coax them free
